  1. XTND is an Apple-supported architecture that allows certain applications to Open and Save different file formats using plug-in file translators.

  3. XTND-compatible applications can access the MacLinkPlus Translation Library directly from within their Open‚Ķ and Save As‚Ķ dialogs.

  5. Some examples of XTND applications are MacWrite II, MacWritePro, ClarisWorks, WordPerfect, Ragtime, and GreatWorks.

  7. The MacLinkPlus Bridge will be installed in the Claris Translators folder in the Claris folder in the System Folder.
